Partlist Quantity Update and Item availability

JDE allows us to update the part list quantity than what is actually available.


For instance, item A has already - 10 availability and If I amend a WO partlist which contains this item A  to 20 from 10 , it still allows me to do and the item availability in primary location goes to - 20/

Is there a way to prevent this?
