Real Time Apply troubles

Hello everyone, hope everything is fine.

I have the following scenario here:

Primary DB: Oracle RAC (2 nodes) v11.2.0.3.0

Standby: Single instance physical standby database, also v11.2.0.3.0

Everything is working fine, except for one thing -  Real Time Apply. The logs from the primary nodes are applied only when they're archived. I've spent the last few days looking for what might be wrong (or missing), but no luck whatsoever. Can you guys help me?

A bit more info about the environment:

  • Managed recovery was started using the proper command (alter database recover managed standby database using current logfile disconnect from session)
