Question on Migration Installation

Hi,

IHAC upgrading Siebel 8.1.1.10 to IP2015. The natural path is migration installation rather than new installation.

What I don’t understand is how migration installation works when SWSE_HOME is under SES_HOME on an existing 8.1.1.10 server instance.

On the existing 8.1.1.10 server instance:

                 /siebel                        (this is SES_HOME)

                 /siebel/gtwysrvr

                 /siebel/siebsrvr

                 /siebel/swse                (SWSE_HOME under SES_HOME)

I suppose after migration installation of ‘Enterprise Server’:

                 /siebel_pre15.0          (/siebel is renamed to /siebel_pre15.0)

                 /siebel_pre15.0/gtwysrvr

                 /siebel_pre15.0/siebsrvr

                 /siebel_pre15.0/swse

                 /siebel                        (IP2015)

                 /siebel/gtwysrvr

                 /siebel/siebsrvr

My question is: How can I run migration installation of ‘SWSE’ at this point, when /siebel/swse no longer exists? Should I manually copy /siebel_pre15.0/swse to /siebel/swse?
