Use Party relationships to group Party records?

in Receivables - EBS (MOSC) Question

Has anyone used Relationships to group party records in order to combine data for a monthly statement? we have multiple source systems, each with their own customer master so we have multiple Party records for the same entity.

Our Statement program output is customized already and the theory here is to group the outputs for separate Accounts based on relationships.
