Can you reverse an AR deduction from a previous year?

When trying to reverse (RV) a deduction from a previous year, it lets me click save, but then the batch posts out of balance. It is missing the AR trade account. Do you why know this is?

I was thinking it may be because the system does not want to debit AR from a pervious year since its already closed..?
