does maxl command DROP GROUP "Group_NAME" also drop the group from shared services?

hello,

I'm running a command the maxl command to delete some groups (a few 1000s) using drop group "group_name".  I noticed that the groups does not get deleted from the shared services native directory group but does from in EAS.

Does drop group only drop the group from EAS?
