API to disable Gl code combinations

Hi All, 

We need a API to disable GL Code combinations. The API should be able to disable different segments based on requirement(we have 10 segments structure). 

But In future business can enable manually a GL code combination after it has been disabled.   

If the code combination is marked as preserved the program should not remove preserved flag while disabling the code combinations.  Any pointers on this would be helpful.
