Recommended JDK version for R12.2

Applications - R12.2.3

OS - Oracle Linux 6

Doc 1530033.1 states the version of Java to upgrade to for our system is  (Linux x86-64) JDK 7.0 Update 9 or higher

The link provided in above note ( http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.html ) - shows 8u101 / 8u102

EBusiness certification does not state that version 8 is certified with R12.2.3  -- only 7u99

If that's the case, where do I download 7u99?  The archive java downloads only go up to 7u80. 

If 8u102 is actually certified with R12.2.3 - please confirm, also i believe there are additional steps (a patch to apply to be compatible with 3digit build version of java (i.e. 102))  -  please share this document if available.
