Siebel Server Name pulled in as an FQDN
Had an interesting situation happen during a Server configuration. Read that problematic. On a Linux machine and using the config wizard, the siebns.dat file had a siebel server host name that was 32 characters long(FQDN), not <= the normal 12 char limit. This is on a IP15.8 environment. This caused problems as the gateway was not recognizing the server. As it is not recommended to edit the siebns.dat file; we tried to remove the configuration. The wizard remove process would not match the server name as the limit was 12 and the short name is not equal to the FQDN.
