Can media object attachment purged using R01131P?

Hi Experts,

I want to know if R01131P can be used to purge media object attachment files stored on server?Also can you explain what is recommended way to delete media object attachment on server.save location of media object attachment is continuously growing in size and causing space issue on server.need your help on this
