Cache Hit Ratio

Hi,

In our customer's 11gR2 Production database we found that the cache hit ratio is only around 63%. We wanted to increase the DB_CACHE_SIZE and thought of increasing the value of SGA_TARGET. Before that we wanted the advice from v$SGA_TARGET_ADVICE. The output does not show any benefit even if we increase the SGA.

The SGA now is 3.5 GB and the Estd Phys Reads is 7,328,362. Even if we increase the SGA to twice the value the Estd Phys Reads will be 7,018,372.

Please advice what action we can take to increase the Cache Hit Ratio.
