Does Oracle reads the OS-Memory from BIOS or OS ?

Dear all,

recently we increased the Memory on our VM (VMWare esxi5.5, OS= SUSE 11 Linux x86_64) from 104G to 200G, and because of that we restarted the DB=11.2.0.4 and increased the SGA_MAX_SIZE to 140G. By startup the DB we got an error, that the system does not have enough Memroy. When I check the memoInfo, I see that the system has enough Memory as below:

#cat /proc/meminfo

MemTotal:   207613300 kB
MemFree:    11024420 kB
Buffers:    11802088 kB
Cached:     15716248 kB

Howdy, Stranger!
