PBCS: Does the September 16.09 patch update increase size of the LCM backup?

Our PBCS test instance underwent a patch update on 2nd Sep, 2016. Currently it's version is 16.09. After the patch update, the size of the LCM backup has suddenly increased by multiple times. The size of LCM backup of all the artifacts which used to be atmost 57 MB is now around 639 MB without any change in any of the artifacts or any data. Has this got something to do with the patch update? The production instance (16.07) hasn't undergone this patch and the LCM backup size remains as it used to be before.
