Inventory Periods Open/Close

Hi Expert,

We have an inventory org that was out of use for a period of time and we then started this up again meaning that we have old inventory period in which we had no transactions but in order to take the IO into use these had to be opened in order to get the current period open.

Questions:

  1. Is there an alternate way to close multiple periods in an efficient manor, other than a data loader?
  2. Multiple of the period have been closed have status Closed not Summarized and from what I understand I should be able to run the Period Close Reconciliation report to get these to Closed status. But I assume that this will
