invalid signaling threshold & ddos

Our invalid-signaling threshold is set to 15 and that seems to work out pretty well for day to day use.  However, when there is an issue and all endpoints need to re-register for whatever reason, the SBCs CPU spikes to 100% for about 12-15 minutes while it processes all the new registration messages and the logs scroll with the error that an endpoint has exceeded the threshold for invalid signaling.  I assume this is an endpoint sending registrations over and over again that the SBC cannot process and it gets put in the deny list when it violates the threshold.
