Settlement Discount in JDE

What is Settlement discount in JDE - How is it added - added by customer group or sold to number with payment terms as well.

I guess Settlement discount is not the same as normal discounts and rebates, the set-up is based on payment terms.

So any idea how it works in JDE ? How the set up can be done?
