ASM | DROP and ADD disk

Hi Team,

There is a major scenario I am going through where customer is provide us a new candidate disk of 250GB and want us to add that disk to ASM DATA1 diskgroup.  We already have one disk of 200GB assigned to this diskgroup.

Customer wanted us to drop this disk so that he will reclaim this storage.

Our concern is a only one disk is assigned to this diskgroup.

Our step would be add 250GB disk to DATA1 diskgroup and happens rebalancing.

Then drop the old disk of 200GB.

Can you confirm will there be any data loss in this case.
