Is it possible to have configurable ATO model whidin another configurable ATO Model?

I'm having trouble creating a setting of an item in which the main components are also configurable them.

When I call the configurator in OM, set up all product and at the end get the desired result which is transposed into OM. Then do the "Book" of "sales order" and when I do the "Progress order" it creates the item with the "Star item" just at the top of article (I called to set up) all other ATO model remain unchanged and should also have their own code with the "star item."

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong, is it possible to have configurable items to be part of the BOM of an article that is also configurable? Thank's.
