Allow Adjustment Posting flag for converted Transaction Types

When upgraded from 11i to R12 - the converted/migrated transaction types do NOT have 'Allow Adjustment Posting' flag marked as 'Y" (there was no such an option in 11i). What do we do? Do we update manually this type to put 'Y' to allow these postings (which we need)? Is that fine? It is known that you  cannot change this option if it has been once used...
