ABILITY TO BULKLOAD CATALOG FOR MULTIPLE SUPPLIERS

We're in the process of implementing catalog administration in house and one of the issues we have encountered involves uploading catalogs.  In R12, you have to upload catalog lines against a BPA.  We have items that cross multiple suppliers so we would like to be able to upload catalog lines for multiple suppliers in the same file.  Apparently this functionality existed in 11i, but is no longer available in R12.  It looks like there is an enhancement request for this recorded in bug 8813582.  Does anyone else have this same issue in R12 and if so, how are they handling it?  To load the items to each catalog individually is a considerable amount of effort for us so we're looking for alternatives.
