price functionality

we have an item having price of Rs 50/- but from onward we have to change the price to 60/- , but we cannot sell the stock of new price till old price stock gets liquidated , and we also wants to see parallel transaction in INV i.e old price and new price.

example :

Old price stock 500 qty @ 50/- , New price stock 600qty @ 60/- . Both are running parallel .

what would you suggest to cater this scenario , should we received under same item OR create new item for new price , what will be the best practice.
