Messages - Send messages or Extended

Hi,

I am having a workflow requirement.

If X raises the PO he is getting the Email when approved or rejected or cancelled. Similar is the case of Y

X is the manager of Y.

So X needs to received the same message when Y gets its.

Is there some way could be done in the Workflow.

Send Messages or through Send Messages Extended.

All these functions are being done in the F4209 table trigger.
