How to convert classic sql report to interactive report in APEX 5.0.4

In an APEX 5 database application, I would like to convert a table based "classic" report to an interactive report that provides the selector icon so the user can drill down into a single row form for editing.

I have seen internet references to "Migrate to Interactive Report" functionality in APEX 4, but I'm not finding any information about that conversion process in the APEX 5 docs or on MOS.

If someone would point me to the instructions, an example, or tell me how to do the conversion, I would appreciate it.
