Reporting Sequence for Italy not generating from the Initial Number

Hi There,

We have defined a new statutory ledger for Italy. Defined the Accounting and Reporting sequence for the new statutory ledger. Extracted the journals from Reporting (which is created right from the date we went live) and inserted into new statutory ledger.

New statutory Ledger has first opened period as Jan-11. Reporting Sequence and Accounting Sequence also defined from Jan-2011 with the Initial Number as 1. However the journals were posted from Jun-11.  We closed the period from Jan-11 until Jun-11. As the first journal is posted in Jun-11 our expectation is the reporting sequence assigned will be 1 for the first journal. However the reporting sequence assignment for the very first journal is 52.
