Pick-Release Question

Hello Gurus,

I am trying to understand if the 'Deliver To Location' field on a Sales Order is mandatory to be able to pick-release. Could someone confirm / clarify.We have cases where the deliver to location is not entered on a SO line and the pick-release/ship confirm goes through successfully, however there seem to be a few cases where the pick-release goes through only after the deliver to location is entered on the SO lines. Our pick-release rule is one which has Autocreate Delivery set to 'Yes;.

Also, could you suggest any recommended debugging scrips to check when pick-release fails for sales orders. Typically at a high level, we check onhand quantity, any holds on the SO, schedule ship date. Are there any additional checkpoints.
