Automatically open applications when logging in?

One of my users asked me if it was possible for a user to set up E1 so that it will automatically open four applications she uses every day when she logs in.

We could think about manually opening them quickly using Favorites or Breadcrumbs, but couldn't think of a way to get them to open automatically.

Any ideas?
