Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. Defining a child meter with type 'change' to a parent meter with type 'absolute'.

Hi all,

Is it possible to setup a child meter with reading type change , which it captured its assigned parent's

reading in an incremental manner. Parent meter reading type should be 'absolute'.

This setup is required to define a meter readings between parent asset and its assigned re-buildable asset.

I have tried this in the system, however once the child meter with the type 'change' is assigned to a parent meter with type 'absolute' ,

the child meter type displays as 'absolute' in the maintenance page and gets the parent's absolute meter reading. Is this some kind of a bug?
