Sales order for service organization

Hi,

We have a requirement to implement oracle order management for an organization which operate in laundry industry.

Client stock the linen until the washing process completes.

We have a doubt whether to create the item as "Inventory item" or "Non inventory item".

The issue is  if we create the item as "Non inventory  item" system will not capture the COS for the sale.

Please explain how to address this concern!
