sipshield spl plugin - egress sip interface or egress realm, which is better?

trying to figure out which would be more effective in blocking fraudulent traffic -  applying the sipshield to the egress realm or sip interface. Please share from your experience which would provide the best results, or maybe there is  no difference. Thanks.
