Automatic document scanning to Media Object Attachments

Hi,

  We are looking into having a document scanning system (based on Kofax) scan batches of paper documents, load them into our document management system (eDocsDM), then have them automatically attached to records in JDE as a URL in media object attachments.

  I have attached one using JDE and examined the F00165 record to see what it contains.  Is it acceptable to use an external process (SQL) to insert records to the F00165 to create these attachments automatically? 

We are on JDE 9.1 Tools Release 9.1.5.2, Oracle 11g DB
