Enterprise Manager - Agent Install Fail SUDO

I am running OEM 12.1.0.5.0 and attempting to get the management agent installed on new linux hosts through Add Targets Manually. I have named credentials set for an account that has full SUDO privileges. But, when I deploy to new host, I get an error that that the base directory cannot be created. Please ensure the install user has privileges. It doesn't appear to actually be trying to use sudo. Any thoughts on how I can resolve?
