Essbase extract of no data takes long time

Hello,

I have an Essbase database that currently has no data in the "17Plan" scenario.  There is a nightly calc script run to extract the data, but right now there is no data and it still takes 9-10 minutes to run.  I would expect the script to finish almost immediately.  The extracted text file is blank and has a file size of 1 kb.

I've tried clearing all the empty blocks which took about an hour.  I also tried clearing out the 17Plan scenario, but no change.  The cube rebuilds every night via Essbase Studio where some of the dimensions are updated and some are rebuilt.  Is there another type of Restructure that needs to be done?  I have other cubes that do similar extracts that don't take this long.  What could be the issue?
