how to call a data model based on template chosen

Really need some help.

I have a data model with 4 different data sources, G1...G4. The user will select a report they wish to run, how can I set up the background to only execute the data source based on a specific template user chooses?

For example if G1 contains data for report template 1

and G2 contains data for report template 2....etc. User selects Report template 1 to run, how to only run G1 and prevent G2 from processing, so it doesnt slow down processing time. I am using BI Publisher Enterprise.
