Confirm Receipts Notification - Not Received response

Hi Community - this question is in relation to 12.0.6.

Confirm receipts process documentation states at Node 3 the notification  is sent to the requester. If the requester responds with not received

Node 4 notifies the buyer that items have not been received.

My question is if the requester responds with Not Received does that then stop any further notifications from being sent?
