no audio

I have a strange problem that has baffled me. Setup a new 4600 peering to a business partner and I can establish a call but will not get audio until I press one of the digits on the phone (creating a DTMF tone) and then I get 2-way audio. No audio when trying to generate RTP stream by talking, only get RTP after pressing a digit - strange.

Tried "early-media-allow=none" no difference.

Tried "symmetric-latching=enabled" on both internal and external realms -no difference.

Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.
