Managing project budget without encumbrance

Hi,

We are not using encumbrance currently since global procurement is not supported while encumbrance is on in financial options.

As we would like to keep the global procurement functionaly we cannot set the encumbrance flags again.

I got to know that in order to apply the p[roject budget functionality in po, requisition and AP invoices we must set encumbrance for requisition and purchaisng in financial options.

Has anyone faced that confilct, looks like we cannot implement project budget control while utilizing global purchaisng (also VMI cannot be used when encumbrance is on).

Any idea how to cope with this?
