Multiple stock locators / stock segregation in receiving?

Hi,

in EBS R12.2 we would like to segregate the stock that is in RECEIVING into several separate logical "locators".

Example:

An item has Standard receipt routing or even requiring inspection and is lot controlled. Organization is WMS enabled. First we do a PO Receipt, destination type = RECEIVING. Then we do a RECEIVING transaction with destination = INVENTORY.

While the material is still in RECEIVING we would like to logically separate it into multiple areas, as the RECEIVING material is physically separated into for example 2 receiving areas and we'd like to keep track of where the material is.

Anyone an advice on how we could do that? I know that after the RECEIVING transaction we can put the material into different subinventories, however I'd like to have something similar while the material is still in RECEIVING.
