Hi Gurus, I have question about restore and recovery from archives

This is Cold backup restore and apply archive log situation.[Backup and Recovery]

I have a 10.2.0.4 oracle database.

Our organization uses cold backups every night.  The database in question is on archive log mode.

Question is:  I have set Old control file, Old datafiles.  But all archive logs since the last cold backup.   Backups are cold backups.

Is there any note or doc or info which describes, how I can use most recent cold backup and all archives that were generated since the most recent cold backup and recover the database to the last archive or closest to the time of failure.
