Delete a Capitalized CIP asset in current period.

Hi

I have an issue where a CIP was created in July 2016  and has a few line items interfaced from AP . The asset was capitalized by error this current open period we need to delete it but we get this error message ...

 

"You can only delete assets  added in the current period, which have not yet posted any accounting impacts."

I suspect it is because we have entries from prior period , what are your thoughts?

My proposed fix is to load a negative asset to zero this line since these AP lines on the CIP should have been expense lines.
