How to set up a non-resident alien visa F-1 status?

We have never had an employee with non-resident alien status outside of the US.  I need to make the employee exempt for Social Security and Medicare, which I can do but I do not believe that will stop the wages from accumulating and then included on the W2.  Please advise.
