When EBSapps.env generated after upgrade applicatin R12.1.3 to R12.2.0 base release

Dear Team,

I am in the process of upgradation from R12.1.3 to R12.2.5 by using the pdf e48839. I have applied the all steps successfully till chapter 3 and also completed the chapter 4 online patching enable process. but still I have not found EBSapps.env file under the base directory. I want to know that at what steps this file is generated or we need to generate this evn file manually by applying any process.

currently I am in the process to apply the delta 8 patch before apply the release update patch 5  and I need to check my current file system for patch or run before applying the patch.
