53rd Calendar Week in RDF

Question - have any users who had RDF up and running in 2012 (during the last 53rd fiscal week) have an opnion on how they have handled the 53rd week in the RDF solution?

From what I have read so far it sounds like the best way to go is to have RMS send a 53 week Calendar Hier file to RDF and then map the weeks appropriately.

Any downfalls to this approach? I've been told by my RMS support team that if I want to have the 53rd week available in MFP I also need to make the same modification to the RDF calendar file.
