Intercompany Balancing without Offsetting Intercompany Account Segment

We installed Oracle EBS (10.7 version) in 1997.  We later upgraded to versions 11i and R12.  During this time we continue to use the same Accounting Flexfield structure.

Our segments are ENTITY - COST CENTER - PROJECT - ACCOUNT - SUBACCOUNT - RESERVED.

All values are numeric.  0000 - 00000 - 00000 - 0000 - 0000 - 00000

The Entity segment is our Balancing Segment value, so it is the value which changes during Intercompany Balancing during Journal Posting.

We do not have an Intercompany Segment to accept the offsetting Entity value to show "who owes who" during balancing.

We have gotten by for 18 years explain the process with a "Banking" comparison by saying that everybody banks with the parent company (the main operating company.
