ODA X4-2 out performing ODA X5-2

Have an ODA X4-2 (bare iron) system that I am in the process of moving to an ODA X5-2 (vm) system.

Virtualisation is used on the X5-2 for complying with the 48 core EE RAC license. On the X4-2, with its 48 cores in total, bare iron was used.

The next biggest difference is that the main user/app data tablespace is a bigfile tablespace of 24TB on the X5-2. While on the X4-2 it is a smallfile 6TB tablespace.

Data volumes, tables and index structures, PL/SQL application code, realtime data feeds, and so on, are identical on both systems.

Howdy, Stranger!
