One of my customers has 2 physical platforms for E1 : one dedicated to DV/PY/IN, another for Pre-Production and Production instances.
The dev platform has TR 9.1.5.2 .
Prod platform has TR 9.1.5.3 .
In dev platform environments, when you are connected in a session, you have at top right corner a menu with preferrences / logout.
Inside this menu, you have a drop-down list with all roles availables for you, and you can dynamically choose one of them.
In production plateform, you cannot : in the menu, you can see your role but you cannot dynamically change your current role : you have to disconnect and log in with appropriate role.
