Openning And Ending Balance

Dear All,

We have to create customized report in General Ledger Module to fulfill our auditors need; one of this report fields is account; report should display the beginning and ending balance for this account;

Example:

Account           Period        Currency       Beginning Balance               Ending Balance

XYZ                 OCT-16         USD                19568                                    19668

Question is: IS there a GL API that return Beginning and Ending Balance for this account?

We Are using ORACLE EBS 12.1.2; DB:11.1.0.7.
