Update Work Request from Work Request Approval Notification Screen

There is only a link to view Work Request Details in the Work Request Approval Notification screen. How is it possible to update work request from that screen since the receiver of the notification will have to update the work request with attachments.

There is a situation where certain information needs to be clarified between the approver and requester before approving. For eg:

Approver asks for more information in the form of an attachment or the approver himself wants to send an attachment to the requestor. In this case we cant use the 'request for information' feature due to 2 limitations:
