RMA return of a dual UOM item

edited Mar 14, 2018 10:36AM in Distribution - JDE1 (MOSC) 2 commentsAnswered ✓

When creating an RMA with a CO and OM of a dual UOM item, the CO gets the secondary quantity from the SO (via the Sales Ledger) but the OM gets the secondary quantity from the "standard/expected" UOM conversions from the item master.  This means I am crediting what the customer ordered but the return is different than what was shipped or returned.

As an example:  a widget usually weighs 20 pounds (so 1 EA = 20 LB) but can vary, so the item is a dual UOM item.

I sell a widget and when I ship confirm, I ship 1 EA at 17 LB.

Howdy, Stranger!
