Waits due to cursor: pin S wait on X

Hello experts,

                       Yesterday morning around 8:30 AM we had observed a severe performance degradation reported by end users.I collected ASH and AWR report during that time and found that cursor: pin S wait on X is top wait event along library cache lock.

Can you please help me to understand in detail what is this wait event and how to avoid. Please find the attached awr and ash report.
