Modify and promote data selection for a specific report version

I need to update the default data selection for a specific report version and need to promote it to all environments including DV, PY and PD.

My question is if I just update the data selection via BV Batch Versions (Row exit --> Data Selection) and save it, and then submit the report to server (with Submit Specs) option, do you foresee any issues with this approach?
